Boston Rock Photos And Stuff
Future Carnivores are curious and intoxicating. Their music dances in your head when you dream.
The Motion Sick recently played a reunion show at Brighton Music Hall. Phew. I never had a chance to see them in their first go ’round. I’m not sure why that is, but it seems odd to me now. I always liked their records. I’m a huge fan of their “30 Lives” video. I’ve seen Michael J. Epstein, Matt Girard and Travis Richter play in a bunch of other bands (and now Patrick Mussari after he opened this very show with his new band, Wash Pool). Now I’ve seen The Motion Sick live. They sounded great. I feel much better.
Every Parks gig feels like an event. They’ve scored some sweet slots on big shows. They’ve played with some great bands. They Rumbled. The band’s most recent show was doubly special: They opened for The Motion Sick reunion while simultaneously releasing their new 7″ single. Not too shabby.
The Michael J. Epstein Memorial Library was next up on The Motion Sick reunion show under card. I always enjoy this ensemble. Well crafted songs with intelligent lyrics go a long way in my book.
Gorgeous. This Blue Heaven plays Boston for the first time in a couple of years and it’s just beautiful. The new songs sound fantastic and the band is clearly enjoying the moment. It’s wonderful to have them back.
For The Motion Sick reunion show at Brighton Music Hall, each of the group’s members played an opening set with one of their other bands. First up was guitarist Patrick Mussari’s moody new outfit, Wash Pool.
Hanging out with the Roy Sludge at Radio seemed like a nice way to end a vacation.*
* It was.
The Luxury closed out a musically diverse night that raised some money for Rosie’s Place. I was happy to see these guys helping to make good things happen. Well done.
On the same day that the band released their “Dead End Kid” video right here on Daykamp Music TV, Cult 45 jumped on a last minute bill at TT’s to raise money for Rosie’s Place. Awesome.
OK. First, this not so great thing happened. Then some folks decided to make this really great thing happen. Here are some pictures of Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling being really great for Rosie’s Place…
