Gorgeous. This Blue Heaven plays Boston for the first time in a couple of years and it’s just beautiful. The new songs sound fantastic and the band is clearly enjoying the moment. It’s wonderful to have them back.
For The Motion Sick reunion show at Brighton Music Hall, each of the group’s members played an opening set with one of their other bands. First up was guitarist Patrick Mussari’s moody new outfit, Wash Pool.
Hanging out with the Roy Sludge at Radio seemed like a nice way to end a vacation.*

The Luxury closed out a musically diverse night that raised some money for Rosie’s Place. I was happy to see these guys helping to make good things happen. Well done.
On the same day that the band released their “Dead End Kid” video right here on Daykamp Music TV, Cult 45 jumped on a last minute bill at TT’s to raise money for Rosie’s Place. Awesome.

Ryan Jackson Troika made Make Music Harvard Square sound like a classic Woodstock jam. Impressive stuff.
It was a gorgeous day in Cambridge for Make Music Harvard Square. Of the nine or so acts I really would have liked to catch, I managed to see two. Instead of focusing on all of the bands I missed, I will bask in the glory of my boy referring to Goddamn Glenn as “Shiny Pants Guy” when we were talking later about the fun we that afternoon. I’m feeling pretty lucky.
Cn’Fn’L purged their pent-up Bruins anxiety with a raucous set at The Middle East Downstairs opening for Imperial State Electric.
Loud guitars and killer harmonies? Goddamn Draculas have ’em and weren’t afraid to use ’em opening for Imperial State Electric.
