Petty Morals @ T.T. The Bear’s Place 4.25.2014

Classy, fun and packing a punch, Petty Morals kicked the Rumble Finals party into high gear. Their songs are infectious. They worked in a shout out to Amy Douglas of Feints* that morphed into “Rainbow In The Dark.”** They made sure the TT’s crowd was having a good time. Petty Morals made a lot of new friends and fans at this year’s Rumble.

* They did a partial cover of “Make Love To Me” by Amy’s other project, SPF 5000.

** Which in turn morphed into Petty Morals’ staple Rumble cover, “Neutron Dance.”

Precision. That’s the word I keep coming back to with Await Rescue’s Rumble run. These guys are a well oiled machine of heavy, melodic rock. They delivered every time they got on TT’s stage. They were the wildcard into The Finals and set out to show the world they deserved to be there.

When Particles Collide @ T.T. The Bear’s Place 4.17.2014

Oh, so it’s going to be one of those nights. When Particles Collide just opened up Rumble Semifinal Night #1 with their own special kind of sonic bombast. Octave guitars, well timed drum solos and catchy tunes set the pace. They may not take the night, but they’ve got their hooks in the TT’s crowd and they ain’t lettin’ go.
