Sir Vix-A-Lot wasn’t the only gender-homogenous act of One Night Band 4. When the ladies were done, it was up to the gentlemen in Caress (Jay Allen, Matt Parish, Nate Rogers, Todd Sampson and Will Dailey) to pump up the volume. They made Christian Slater proud.
One Night Band! One of my favorite nights of the year. The 4th installment of this event kicked off with a tight and enthusiastic performance from Zumix band The Mosquitoes In Tuxedos. Did we just meet some future One Night Band participants? Don’t count it out.
Mr. Boogie decided he was going to release one new EP a month for the first six months of 2011. He’s ambitious. This show at The Rosebud Bar was the release party for the third of those. He’s also a slacker and is skipping the month of April. Look for the next three EPs in May, June and July.
