No snowstorm was going to keep me from seeing Sidewalk Driver at Indie Rock Ranger’s Holiday Spectacular. After all, Glamta comes but once a year…
Parks @ The Middle East Downstairs 12.14.2013
During a snowstorm… At The Middle East Downstairs… As part of Indie Rock Ranger’s Holiday Spectacular… Parks turned “Holiday Road” into a holiday classic.
Animal Talk @ The Middle East Downstairs 12.14.2013
If Steven Kilgore’s smokin’ jacket doesn’t get you in the holiday spirit, perhaps Animal Talk covering “Last Christmas” will. These guys always put on a good show, and this set at Indie Rock Ranger’s Holiday Spectacular is no exception. Let it snow. We’re having a good time downstairs at The Middle East.
Harris Hawk @ The Middle East Downstairs 12.14.2013
Snow. Let’s get that out of the way. A nasty little storm blew in at the worst possible time. That couldn’t stop Indie Rock Ranger’s Holiday Spectacular, though! The show plowed ahead* with Harris Hawk rattling the metal in the mouths of the intrepid concert-goers gathering at The Middle East Downstairs for a remarkable night of music.
* Did I really just type that? Oof. I blame sleep deprivation from a long weekend at The Sinclair. More on that later.
The Field Effect @ The Middle East Downstairs 8.23.2013
On this episode of Daykamp Music Goes To See The Field Effect, Johnny follows Doug, Nick, Annie and Adam into subterranean Cambridge for the band’s show at The Middle East Downstairs. The excitement in the room is palpable after compelling sets from The Susan Constant, The Deep North and Velah. The crowd is hungry for a set of energetic, heartfelt and memorable tunes played with great enthusiasm. All eyes are on The Field Effect as they take the stage. This is the moment the band has been preparing for.
Will The Field Effect make it to the surface alive? Tune in after these photos to find out…
Yes.
The Susan Constant @ The Middle East Downstairs 8.23.2013
The Susan Constant are fun to watch. They ain’t bad to listen to, either…
The Deep North @ The Middle East Downstairs 8.23.2013
Riding high on the release of their latest single, The Deep North brought their ardent indie rock to an appreciative crowd at The Middle East Downstairs.
Velah @ The Middle East Downstairs 8.23.2013
I had been looking forward to this one for a while. Velah, The Deep North, The Susan Constant and The Field Effect together at The Middle East Downstairs? That’s a pretty darn good bill. Velah got things going with songs old, new and re-imagined. I think their delay drenched crescendos are still reverberating through the former bowling alley.
Cocked N’ Loaded @ The Middle East Downstairs 6.19.2013
Cn’Fn’L purged their pent-up Bruins anxiety with a raucous set at The Middle East Downstairs opening for Imperial State Electric.
Goddamn Draculas @ The Middle East Downstairs 6.19.2013
Loud guitars and killer harmonies? Goddamn Draculas have ’em and weren’t afraid to use ’em opening for Imperial State Electric.
