Most bands would be lucky to have one song as good as any of the songs in Slowdim’s catalog. They sparkle and pull on your heart strings. Slowdim’s Rumble set was gorgeous.

Jed Gottlieb is quick to shine a spotlight on local bands over at The Boston Herald. He knows what’s what. For this night at Redstar Union, Jed gathered up three acts with a penchant for writing a great pop hook. He’ll get no argument from me about his first pick. Slowdim’s debut record will certainly be on the Top 10 Albums Of 2013 list that I won’t make. These are some of the best songs in town.
Boy howdy, these cats are good. I just saw Slowdim a couple of weeks ago, yet here I am at TT’s soaking up their brilliant melodies. I don’t want their set to end. Slowdim has quickly become one of my favorite bands in town.
I’m becoming a big fan of Slowdim’s dreamy pop. Everything about it just sounds right. Sometimes it’s that simple.
Slowdim played their sometimes-spacey-sometimes-jangly pop tunes for a steadily growing crowd at The Middle East Upstairs. The band draw equally from the familiar and the adventurous, forming songs that draw you in and hold your interest. Their set was part of The Susan Constant’s EP release show.
