The first super group of the night, Goddamn Glenn And His Red Coffee Cup Ensemble did a mix of holiday tunes and I-forgot-how-much-I-like-this-song covers at Anngelle Wood’s 4th annual Spectacular Gift Drive for DCF Kids Fund. Oh, and another photo of Dan Nicklin in a Santa hat.
Listening to Nate Leavitt and his band puts a smile on my face and a tear in my beer. Perfect for the Q Division Holiday Party.
Listening to Nate Leavitt, Dan Nicklin and Magen Tracy sing in three part harmony on a stripped-down version of “Taking The Long Way Home” is everything that’s right in the world. The rest of the set was pretty darn good, too.

Before they opened up for Culture Club, Parlour Bells helped close down TT’s with their grit and glamour.
These are photographs of the glamours rock ‘n’ roll band know as Parlour Bells. This series of images dates back to last Friday when the band performed at T.T. The Bear’s Place in Cambridge, MA. Parlour Bells were fiery at the Q Division/Concerted Efforts/Moontower Holiday Party as they ripped through a couple of their fantastic new tunes and the timeless “O Holiday.”
It’s been five days since Viva La Eva Dos and I still have the riff from “Celebrities On Ice” running through my head on an endless loop. With that, I’d like to thank Parlour Bells for supporting a good cause and providing the soundtrack to my daydreams.
The sun was shining for Make Music Harvard Square. Songs were in the air. Parlour Bells were playing. People were smiling. Shiny Pants Guy was Shiny Shirt Guy. It was a swell day.
I hinted at it after their show at The Middle East Downstairs and I’ll say it clearly now: Parlour Bells’ new material is sounding tr… tr.. tr… What’s the word I’m looking for? Oh, right. Truly fantastic.
