Every time I see Abbie Barrett play with her band, I walk away a bigger fan. Her voice and songs have impressive depth. Her wit is keen. Teamed up with the talented folks that make up The Last Date she may be unstoppable.
Airport. One of my desert island bands. I could watch these guys play all night, but I’ll settle for a closing set at The Lizard.
A last minute addition to an already stacked bill, Eric Salt played a few songs that sounded great on a hot summer night.
Here are some photos of Abbie Barrett And The Last Date. Take a look. They’re a wonderful group of people playing really well written songs. Oh, and they’re an absolute joy to watch. They played the Magen Tracy EP release the other night at Atwood’s. I enjoyed myself. Maybe you would, too. It’s worth a try.
Abbie Barrett and her band entertained the late crowd at the Q Division/Concerted Efforts/Moontower Holiday Party. Abbie is so talented, Brendan Boogie performed a song about how she makes Christmas wonderful.*
* At least that’s what he should have done.
Jingle, jangle, jingle! Eric Salt & The Electric City kicked the Q Division/Concerted Efforts/Moontower Holiday Party into high gear with a boisterous set.
Dear Airport,
Please release your new EP soon. I’ve had “Doot-Doo-Doo”* in my head since Saturday and would very much like a recorded version I could listen to. Thanks for your consideration.

Watching an Airport show makes me feel like Benny from the Lego Movie. Just substitute “Airport!” for “Spaceship!” These guys draw from an endless well of perfectly crafted songs about modern life filtered through a ’70s AM Radio transmission.
That there was damn near perfect. Airport just delivered the best set I’ve ever seen them play. These guys have some of the finest songs in the land. Tonight they delivered them with precision and heart. A great Rumble set.
