Here’s Bong Wish. I’d tell you more, but I wouldn’t be able to describe the experience better than Sleazegrinder. Go read his profile of the band in The Noise and then you can check out these photos.
Fat Creeps @ The Middle East Downstairs 8.2.2014
Fat Creeps bent genres and hypnotized with harmonies at Fuzzstival.
The Fagettes @ The Middle East Downstairs 8.2.2014
The Fagettes might be the most rock ‘n’ roll band in town. Nothing was going to stop them from raising a ruckus at Fuzzstival. Killer.
Fat Creeps @ T.T. The Bear’s Place 5.28.2014
Harmonies. Those harmonies! Fat Creeps have curiously intertwining harmonies on top of their garage/surf/fuzz/jangle inflected tunes and I love them for it.
Bong Wish @ O’Brien’s Pub 3.15.2014
I hit up a Park Slug show at O’Brien’s Saturday night and was greeted with a nice surprise. Unbeknownst to me, Bong Wish was kicking off the night with a quick set of subversively catchy tunes. This fortuitous turn of events happened mere days after I was checking out the band’s too-good-not-to-be-a-theme-song theme song. Lucky me.
Fat Creeps @ O’Brien’s Pub 1.24.2013
Fat Creeps are deft dealers of fuzzed out anti-bliss. I got to O’Brien’s just as they were kicking off a night presented by the folks over at Allston Pudding. The place was already packed. For good reason. Listening to Fat Creeps’ intertwining harmonies in a sweaty rock club was the perfect remedy to the bitter cold that had descended upon the city.
The Walls @ The Middle East Downstairs 9.8.2012
People were excited about The Walls for a lot of reasons. For me it was one: guitarmony.
You see, Thin Lizzy came on the radio during my morning car ride into Central Square (to shoot some of the One Night Band promo photos). With “Cowboy Song” stuck in my head, I struck up a conversation with Adam Andersen about my hope that one of the bands about to be formed would try to pull off harmonized guitar lines during One Night Band 4. Lucky me, The Walls did just that. Now, I’m not trying to take credit for this joyous turn of events,* but this was my favorite part of their stellar set. It was either that or Aaron Perrino and Mariam Saleh’s awesome vocals. Or maybe Kyle Rasmussen’s kinetic drumming. Or the way Aaron, Adam, Mariam and the ever-versatile Rafi Sofer wove their stringed instruments into a textured sonic fabric.
Hmmm. It was one of those things, anyway.
* I totally am.
Fat Creeps – “Cherry” @ Precinct 8.17.2012
Here are Fat Creeps rocking “Cherry” from their new EP at Precinct this past Friday night. You can check out photos from the show right here.

Fat Creeps @ Great Scott 7.23.2012
Well, we’ve reached the end of WFNX’s long, slow goodbye. What started with the We Want The Airwaves: A WFNX Tribute at the Paradise closes out at a venue down the street. Michael Marotta organized this three-night Boston Accents Funeral Party at Great Scott to send the station’s Boston-centric show out with a bang. Night #1 started with an angelic set of garage pop by Fat Creeps.
