The RadioBDC +1 Series found The Field Effect opening up for Black Light Dinner Party at Brighton Music Hall. The outcome? The Field Effect won over new fans by proving they’re as good as any band out there. Yup. Didn’t see that one coming.^*

It’s no secret that Eddie Japan is one of my favorite bands in town. Their run in the 2013 Rock ‘N’ Roll Rumble showed exactly why that is. Their wasn’t a single moment during any one of their sets in the year’s event where I thought they were anywhere but at their best. From the songs to the showmanship, the folks in Eddie Japan refused to let each other down. This was their night. This was their year. Eddie Japan won the 2013 Rock ‘N’ Roll Rumble.

This time it happens to be at Brighton Music Hall as part of the Walter Sickert And The Army Of Broken Toys album release celebration, but it could be any one of their shows. The Field Effect have a way with first impressions. It’s fun to watch. Next week they rumble. This could get interesting.

The Field Effect @ Brighton Music Hall 12.14.2012

Friday night was a big one at Brighton Music Hall. Boston Band Crush presented their final show. Richard Bouchard put together one heck of a bill for the Boston Band Crush Holiday Spectacular. After a compelling opening set by Emily Peal And The Band Of Skinny Men, The Field Effect took the stage to release their new CD, Cartography. The band tore through a bunch of tunes from that record before busting out their Wham! cover.

Oh, one more thing. The Field Effect took the stage in holiday sweaters.^* I feel like I should warn you about that before you look at the pictures.
