Equal parts muscle car and interstellar spaceship, Township brought Crash Safely to a magnificent conclusion. These guys are the stuff of legend. Their rocket-fuel-burning-454 of a set blew minds while raising money for the National MS Society.
If you’re going to have a fundraiser, it better be classy. Nothing says classy like a band in formal wear! The folks that run Crash Safely know what they’re doing, so they reached out to the gentlemen of White Dynomite to help raise money for the National MS Society. How civilized!
Here are some photographs of The Field Effect, purveyors of heart-stabby music, at The Middle East. The performance was part of the Crash Safely series of shows which aim to raise money for the National MS Society. It is worth noting that the band played well and engaged the audience with occasional use of quiet parts and screaming, though not always at the same time. Viewers should be warned about the foul language embroidered on Doug Orey’s Wrangler brand shirt. The photographs are rendered in black & white to make them appear important. Thank you for visiting.

Animal Hospital opened the final night of this year’s Crash Safely by showcasing their aural menagerie. Oh, and you can still donate and help raise money for the National MS Society. Maybe you’d like to do that.
There’s a show I’d like to go to just about every night somewhere in this town. Some nights it can be tough to choose just one. Friday night is going to be impossible. Fourteen lovable Daykamp Music alumni will be taking the stage at five different area venues on October 17th. My brain is melting. What to do? Let’s see if we can figure this out together.

You can go see Gondoliers at Cuisine en Locale with Shepherdess and Planet Of Adventure. This show is being filmed. I can’t even image what Gondoliers have up their sleeves. I can’t wait to see. I saw Sidewalk Driver three times in eight days and all I have are these lousy pictures. And these. Oh, and these. Each show was special in its own way. I had a blast every time. At The Midway they closed out this year’s Crash Safely benefit with a shower of confetti and whatever it was that Tad did with Gene Dante.
Gene Dante And The Future Starlets brought their glitz, glamour, showmanship and songs to The Midway to benefit Crash Safely.
My Own Worst Enemy rocked their indie/garage hybrid at The Midway for Crash Safely.
Quirky power pop took center stage at the Crash Safely benefit with The I Want You.
