Despite playing numerous shows with bands I’ve seen multiple times over a span of many years, I somehow never saw Preacher Roe. I’m still baffled by this. Well, that’s all in the past. I finally got to take in a set from these no-frills rockers at Radio to kick off the month. Phew.
Hmmm… how do we end The Daykamp Poster & Photo Show? There have been so many great bands playing some of their best sets over the two nights. What band can take the stage after all of that and deliver a performance that will put the proper exclamation point on the whole crazy event? What band is that good? Oh, right, Reverse…
Sidewalk Driver played The Daykamp Poster & Photo Show. I was smiling so much I’m surprised I wasn’t pulling confetti out of my teeth for days. I LOVE THIS BAND.
Garvy J. And The Secret Pockets Of Hope And Resistance blow my mind every time they take the stage. Their presence at The Daykamp Poster & Photo Show was no exception. Their sound bends the space–time continuum as much as it blends genres. They are diametrically opposed to themselves. Garvy J. And The Secret Pockets Of Hope And Resistance are the tranquil freak-out.
Whoa. That was one of the best Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling sets I’ve ever seen. The duo laid waste to their originals. They tore through a cover of Eldridge Rodriguez’s “Run MF Run.” Intense. The Daykamp Poster & Photo Show just got a kick in the pants.
Remember that time we asked the guys from Scamper if they wanted to reunite for Night #2 of The Daykamp Poster & Photo Show? That was a good idea. ¾ of the band* played a semi-acoustic set of Scamper hits to get things going. They also threw in a Nada Surf cover, because yes.

We were honored to have this year’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Rumble winners Eddie Japan as part of The Daykamp Poster & Photo show. This group can entertain like nobody’s business. It’s a pleasure to watch them effortlessly create unique, cohesive songs from their diverse sonic palette.

Need proof that you can be a killer rock ‘n’ roll band while playing more that four chords? Look no further than Gymnasium. This crew made their elaborate arrangements sound downright urgent at The Daykamp Poster & Photo Show. Oh, and Melissa’s “Do It For Johnny” shirt was a nice touch.
