I swung by TT’s to watch a stripped down version of Streight Angular prove that a good song is a good song, no matter the arrangement. This band has plenty of those good songs to use for evidence. They even used a Phil Collins song. I wish every band had Streight Angular’s heart.
Secret Lover wooed The Middle East crowd with a late night set of genre-defying pop.
The Prefab Messiahs went to another dimension with their trippy retro-pop for the release of their new Maxi-EP at The Middle East.
They were one of the best bands in town as The Fagettes. They continue to be one of the best bands in town as The Barbazons. What they call themselves and why is their business. I’m just glad they’re a band.

Creaturos closed out a night of rock ‘n’ roll hypnosis in Central Square.
The TeleVibes cranked out the psychedelic, garage-y, surf rock at The Middle East for an Illegally Blind show. Killer.
There’s nothing I don’t like about Beware the Dangers of a Ghost Scorpion! Their twangy, surf-exotica sound with its horror punk soul rings loud and true in my ears.
I don’t know if the world is ready for Boogie Boy Metal Mouth, but I’m glad they’re not waiting around to find out. They went all in at The Middle East for an Illegally Blind show.
