Fat Creeps are deft dealers of fuzzed out anti-bliss. I got to O’Brien’s just as they were kicking off a night presented by the folks over at Allston Pudding. The place was already packed. For good reason. Listening to Fat Creeps’ intertwining harmonies in a sweaty rock club was the perfect remedy to the bitter cold that had descended upon the city.

The Susan Constant @ The Middle East Upstairs 1.19.2013
The Susan Constant celebrated the release of their Shapes EP with a sold out show at The Middle East Upstairs. The enthusiasm the band has for playing live is obvious. They fed off the reaction from the fervent crowd, becoming increasingly more animated as the set went on. The Susan Constant are leaving their mark on this town. It’s fun to watch.
Slowdim @ The Middle East Upstairs 1.19.2013
Slowdim played their sometimes-spacey-sometimes-jangly pop tunes for a steadily growing crowd at The Middle East Upstairs. The band draw equally from the familiar and the adventurous, forming songs that draw you in and hold your interest. Their set was part of The Susan Constant’s EP release show.
Butterknife @ The Middle East Upstairs 1.19.2013
Butterknife have some of the best songs in this city. Don’t take my word for it. Go check out the fantastic Do The Needful. Then come back to look at these pictures of the band opening The Susan Constant’s sold out EP release show at The Middle East Upstairs.
