So you want to know what’s on tap for next week? Well, I’ll tell you.
I’m still trying to get caught up on 2011 shows, so be prepared for another action packed week. I’ve got a lot more to share with you from Aimee McGrath’s birthday shindig at The Rosebud. How about a video of The Irreverends doing “Annalise”? Sounds good, right? It is. Very good. Photos and video from Watts and The Downbeat 5? Yup. The Rudds? Check. If things get really nutty I may even make it to some photos of Jordan Valentine And The Sunday Saints. Crazy.
That’s it for this week. Have a good weekend!
The Irreverends have another of their semi-regular reunions, this time to kick off a birthday celebration in honor of The Rosebud’s Aimee McGrath.
These guys lay it all out there. Adam White is focused as he spins his tales. Chris Keene is absolutely on fire behind the drums. John Brookhouse is a guitar monster, bleeding solos out of his 335. Jason Murray, lead guitar player for The World Famous Dirt Mall Rock & Roll Band, doesn’t miss a beat filling in on bass (with a torn ligament in his thumb, no less).
Well done, gentlemen.
Hopefully The Irreverends will continue this tradition of getting together every now and again to remind people how good they are. Now if only they’d release that unfinished album…
Hot B-Bender action!!!
The Dirty Truckers dusted off some songs they hadn’t played in a while for their show at The Rosebud. Here they are doing “Star In My Dreams” from their 2006 album Washed And Ready.
Brendan Boogie and his cohorts play “Cigarette” from the album Disposable Pop at The Rosebud Bar. It just so happens that the lovely and talented Nicole Anguish of Daykamp Creative did the Bazooka Joe inspired artwork for that record.
Tom Janovitz performs the song “Follow The Vine” from the Sodafrog album Hang The Moon at The Rosebud Bar.
