Crooked Streets @ Precinct 5.11.2012

Crooked Streets came down from Salem to open a night at Precinct. These guys are tough to pin down. They flirted with everything from dark new wave melodies to bursts of Superchunk-style energy. I’m glad they made the trip.

The Figgs @ Precinct 3.4.2011

The Figgs have been playing together for nearly 24 years. To say they are a tight outfit would be an understatement. I know The Figgs aren’t technically a Boston band, but their ties to the area are very strong. I’m going to allow it.

Watts @ Precinct 3.4.2011

Looking for a band that dials in a solid set of rock n’ roll time and time again? Watts is your band. Their song “She Wants To Rock” is being included on the CD sampler that comes with the May issue of Classic Rock Magazine. Or just pick up a copy of their new record, On The Dial.

Here are some photos from the band’s March 4th show at Precinct.

Tim McCoy & The Papercuts @ Precinct 3.4.2011

Ok, so these guys and gal aren’t from Boston. They’re from New Hampshire. Close enough. Don’t hassle me.

Tim McCoy & The Papercuts put on a frenetic set at Precinct. The driving bass lines and boy/girl vocals provided a potent one-two punch. They put on quite a show.

The Corin Ashley Rock Band @ Precinct 3.4.2011

Another fantastic show at Precinct.  This one started off with The Corin Ashley Rock band showing off their hook-laden wares.
